We have a whole host of companies and organisations from all different sectors that regularly support our Careers programme. Employers see Careers activities as an excellent way of engaging with their future workforce and advertising the benefits of working with their company. Giving students the opportunity to meet with local employers face to face and ask them questions about their profession and their workplace can really open their eyes to the different career choices out there.
Learning to Work in partnership with Slough Aspire will host a two day Careers Event, which will provide a platform for local stakeholders Year 9 onwards, to engage with around 60 employers, training and education providers and specialist advisers who will be on hand to offer information and practical help on getting ready for the world of work.
Opening times:
9.30am - 3.30pm – Wednesday 7th and Thursday 8th February - School and college groups
3.45pm - 6.30pm – Wednesday 7th February - Evening session for young people and their parents
Students and young people will also have the chance to ask questions, pick up ideas, listen to inspirational speakers plus make contact with potential employers. They will also get personal advice on how to put together an impactful CV and practise their interview techniques.
