What a start to 2021! Despite the turmoil caused by the latest lockdown, the team have got off to a flying start to the year.

We are continuing to deliver the following activities remotely to our schools and their students, who are either in school or working from home:

• 1-2-1 Careers Guidance Interviews with our Level 6 practitioners
• GCSE Options and Pathways Workshops
• CV Preparation Workshops
• Future Focus Insight sessions
• Careers Assemblies
• Post 16 What Next Focus Groups

To enable us to do this safely we have introduced an additional layer of safeguarding for all 1-2-1 activities such as Careers Guidance.

We are also delighted that our new initiative, The Work Ready Club supported by SEGRO has launched.

The Work Ready Club Launch took place on Monday 7th December and was supported by Neil Impiazzi from SEGRO.

Our first meeting of The Work Ready Club will be taking place on Wednesday 27th January at 4.30pm. The theme for the meeting is Personal Branding and is being supported by the hotel group, IHG.

During the meeting young people will have the opportunity to:

• Understand what personal branding means
• Learn why it is important to create your own personal brand
• Start creating your own personal brand

We have created a Work Ready Club Members Area on our website that students can access once they have registered for their FREE membership. In this area they will be able to access recordings of previous meetings, find out about upcoming meetings, ask questions and provide feedback on themes they would like to see covered in future meetings. www.learningtowork.org.uk

The Work Ready Club is FREE to all young people aged 16-19 in the Slough area
