“We are thrilled to be working closely with Project Search and the team at Hilton T5. Helping young people with special educational needs access support post school education is key to developing independence, skills for the workplace and access to local opportunities.

The internship offered by Project Search and the dedicated team from Hilton T5, Ealing Mencap and West London College gives every young person the chance to develop at their own pace whilst gaining valuable experience, guidance and support as they move towards securing employment.

LTW have partnered and supported Project Search for a number of years and we are thrilled that more local young people are now accessing the scheme.” Nancy Lalor, Operations Director, Learning to Work

The Hilton London Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 runs a Supported Internship Programme for 18 – 24 year olds in conjunction with Project Search, West London College, Ealing Mencap and Slough Council commencing each September.
In 2020, it will be the seventh year we have offered the award winning programme which has been a great success, with our graduating interns gaining real life work experience, skills development and independent travel experience leading to greater opportunities to enter full time paid employment.
Learning to Work have supported the internship since the beginning, creating business links and volunteering opportunities to the interns at local career events, and educational activities with key businesses. The invaluable support has strengthened the skills, support network and sense of achievement for young people with SEN in the local area.
